Ursula is interested in quirky, fiction, history and anything
smartly funny. She is currently attached as writer and EP,
along with producer Stewart Till on WHILE THE LADY SLEEPS, a noir TV drama series. She previously wrote for PICKET FENCES from David E. Kelley and PUSH, a short-lived ABC series. She wrote the screenplay SUZANNE VALADON for East of Doheny and worked on the production of a series of Futurama animated TV features and comics under the direction of Matt Groening. After her TV drama pilot THE PEN was recognized at the Austin Film Festival, she was invited to participate in the Imagine Impact Creative Network, highlighting a select group of writers and their projects. Her scripts have placed finalist in the WGAw Feature Writer Access Project, the Women in Film/The Black List TV Episodic Lab and have twice won the WGAw TV Writer Access Project.
In a previous life she earned a Master’s degree in WWI Mlitary History at the Université Sorbonne in Paris, France and a BA in French Revolutionary History at the University of Alberta.With an emphasis on period dramas, Ursula subverts the genre, skilled at capturing the male voice while offering a unique female perspective. People also think she’s funny.
